Archive mailboxes at IONOS, Strato, all-inkl and Hetzner
What this does
For hosters without BCC forwarding, EasyMailArchive pulls the contents of a mailbox over IMAP. All folders are read, including Sent. Messages that are already archived are skipped.
The IMAP import is one-off. EasyMailArchive fetches new mail only when you click Sync now. There is no automatic re-check today. For continuous archiving, use the SMTP BCC relay if your mail server allows it, see Setting up email journaling.
Hoster server settings
EasyMailArchive connects over IMAP with SSL on port 993. There is no port field. Servers that are only reachable via STARTTLS on port 143 currently fail.

The username is the full email address at all four hosters. At all-inkl it is the mailbox login from KAS. The password is the mailbox password.
all-inkl
The server name differs per account. It is your KAS login plus .kasserver.com, for example w01234ab.kasserver.com. You find the login in KAS. Some older plans do not support IMAP.
Hetzner
For konsoleH mailboxes the server is mail.your-server.de, literally. You create mailboxes in konsoleH under email. Webmail is at webmail.your-server.de.
App passwords
The help pages of IONOS, Strato, all-inkl and Hetzner do not mention app passwords for IMAP. Use the regular mailbox password.
Add the mailbox in EasyMailArchive
- Open Admin > Integrations.
- Open the IMAP mailboxes card.
- Click Add mailbox.
- Enter the IMAP server from the table in Server.
- Enter the email address or login in Username.
- Enter the mailbox password in Password.
- In Assign emails to, choose who owns the emails. The default is Create new user from username. Alternatively choose Create new group from username or an existing user or group.
- Click Test connection.
- On success, Add mailbox appears. Click it.
The import starts right away. Follow its progress under Admin > Import Jobs. In the mailbox list, the status column shows Active or Error, next to the number of imported emails.
If the test fails, Connection failed. appears with a Retry option. Check server name, username and password.
Fetch new mail
- Open Admin > Integrations and the IMAP mailboxes page.
- Click Sync now at the mailbox.
Only new messages are picked up. If you change the credentials, Save & re-import imports the mailbox again.
