How Licensing Works
Your license count is whichever number is higher: employee mailboxes or storage-based licenses.
Employee Count
Every active employee mailbox counts as one license. Shared mailboxes and group addresses (e.g. info@, support@) do not count towards your license total.
Storage Usage
Each license includes pooled storage (10 GB on Starter, 25 GB on Business). If your total storage exceeds the pooled quota, additional licenses are calculated automatically.
Example: On the Business plan with 8 employees and 250 GB of storage, you need 10 licenses — because 250 GB / 25 GB = 10, which is higher than your 8 mailboxes.
