Canceling Your Subscription
How to Cancel
If you decide to cancel your Easy Mail Archive subscription, you can do so from your billing settings:
- Navigate to Settings > Billing
- Scroll to the bottom of the page
- Click Cancel Subscription
- You will be asked to confirm the cancellation
- Optionally provide a reason for canceling (this helps us improve)
- Click Confirm Cancellation
Only account administrators can cancel a subscription.
When Cancellation Takes Effect
Your subscription remains active until the end of your current billing period. You will not be charged again after cancellation, but you retain full access to all features and archived data until the billing period expires.
For example, if your billing period runs from the 1st to the 30th and you cancel on the 15th, you continue to have access until the 30th.
What Happens to Your Data
After your subscription period ends, your account enters a grace period:
- 30-day grace period - Your archive remains intact but access is restricted. You can reactivate your subscription during this time to restore full access.
- After the grace period - Your archived data is scheduled for deletion. Once deletion begins, it cannot be reversed.
We recommend exporting any data you need before canceling. You can export messages individually or in bulk through the search interface.
Data Export Before Canceling
Before canceling, consider exporting important data:
- Use the Search page to find messages you want to keep
- Select the messages and use Bulk Actions > Export to download them
- Messages are exported in standard .eml format, which can be opened in any email client
Make sure to complete your export before your subscription period ends, as access will be restricted once the billing period expires.
Reactivating Your Account
If you change your mind during the grace period, you can reactivate your subscription:
- Log in to your Easy Mail Archive account
- You will see a banner indicating that your subscription has been canceled
- Click Reactivate Subscription
- Choose a plan and confirm your payment method
- Your account will be restored with all data intact
After the grace period has passed, reactivation is no longer possible and a new account would need to be created.
Canceling Enterprise Subscriptions
Enterprise customers with custom agreements should contact their account manager to discuss cancellation terms. Custom agreements may have different notice periods and data retention policies.
