Bulk Operations
Overview
When you need to re-deliver a batch of archived messages — for example, to repopulate a mailbox after data loss or to hand over correspondence to a colleague — you can use the bulk restore feature from the search results page.
Selecting messages
After running a search, you can select messages in two ways:
- Click the checkbox next to individual messages
- Use the checkbox in the table header to select everything on the current page
If your search returned more results than fit on one page, selecting all on the current page shows an additional option to select all messages matching your search. This extends the selection to the entire result set across all pages.
Restoring messages
With messages selected, click Restore in the action bar. Enter the email address where the messages should be delivered, then confirm.
The archive sends each selected message as a new email to the target address. Original headers (date, sender, recipients) are preserved, so the messages appear with their original timestamps in the receiving mailbox. Large restores run in the background — you will get a notification when the job finishes.
What about export and delete?
Individual messages can be downloaded as EML files from the message view (click Download in the toolbar). There is no bulk ZIP export.
Deletion of archived messages is handled automatically by retention rules configured under Admin > Rules. See Retention Policies for details on how automatic cleanup works.
