Imports create jobs automatically. You cannot start a job by hand on the Import Jobs page.
Follow imports
- Open Administration. In the sidebar, under Setup, click Import Jobs.
- Each row shows Type, User, Status, Progress, Created, Finished.
| Status | Means |
|---|---|
| Pending | Waiting to start |
| Running | Importing |
| Finished | Done |
| Failed | Stopped with an error. Click Show error detail |
| Interrupted | Stopped, e.g. by a restart. It resumes automatically |
- Progress shows imported messages, plus "{n} dup" (already archived, skipped) and "{n} err" (could not be imported).
- Delete job removes the job from the list. Imported mail stays.
Rules
- Mail already in the archive is skipped. Importing twice creates no duplicates.
- Retention of imported mail older than 30 days counts from its sent date. See Retention Policies.
- Imports count toward storage. Licenses are added automatically if needed.
Not available
- Uploading EML, MBOX or PST files.
