What Is Magic Link Login?
Magic Link Login (also called Email Code Login) allows you to sign in to Easy Mail Archive without entering a password. Instead, a 6-digit verification code is sent to your email address. Simply enter the code on the login page to complete your sign-in.
This method is especially useful if you have forgotten your password or prefer not to manage one.
How It Works
- Go to the login page for your organization (e.g.
yourcompany.easymailarchive.com) - Click Sign in with Email Code
- Enter your email address and click Send Code
- Check your inbox for an email from Easy Mail Archive containing a 6-digit code
- Enter the code on the login page
- You are now signed in
Code Expiry and Limits
The verification code is valid for 10 minutes after it is sent. If the code expires, you can request a new one by repeating the process. Each new code invalidates any previously sent code.
For security reasons, the number of code requests is rate-limited. If you request too many codes in a short period, you may need to wait before trying again.
Security Considerations
Because the email code proves that you have access to the email inbox associated with your account, no additional second factor (such as TOTP) is required when using this login method. The email itself acts as the second factor.
If you are concerned about the security of your email account, consider setting up a password along with TOTP-based two-factor authentication for an additional layer of protection.
Troubleshooting
If you do not receive the verification code:
- Check your spam or junk folder
- Verify that you entered the correct email address
- Ensure your email address is registered in the system - contact your administrator if unsure
- Wait a moment and try again, as email delivery can sometimes be delayed
